The Textile Art Biennial BIEN 2023 connects four Slovenian cities: Kranj, Škofja Loka, Jesenice, and Nova Gorica. The central theme of this year’s artistic event is “Sun”. Myth, legend, the sacred. The one that creates shadows. The key element of our decline and survival. Energy and source. The reason for socializing, meeting, and creating textile art together.
BIEN presents 123 artists, practitioners and researchers and 148 students.
The biennial exhibitions can be both an inspiration and a warning. Its art projects explore the dangers brought on by the growing environmental and climate crisis, while also emphasizing the pleasant qualities of warmth, growth, and enabling emanating from our brightest star. Growth and degrowth, the ultimate consequences of our ambivalent relationship with the Sun, are at the forefront of the exhibition projects, workshops, talks, and events. We are exploring meanings and practices of textile culture, where repetition and duration are inseparably linked. We invite you to discover slow art.

Modernist Edebiyatın Yüzyılı etkinlik dizisi, Modernizmin en temel eserlerini Türkçeye kazandıran çevirmenleri, kendi yazma deneyimleriyle Modernist edebiyat mirasını koruyan ve kutlayan yazarları, bu mirastan ilham alan çağdaş sanatçıları ve bu yüzyıllık yolculuğun hem alımlayıcıları hem katılımcıları olan çağdaşımız okuyucuları bir araya getirerek Modernist edebiyatı yeniden okuma ve anlama pratiği yaratmayı amaçlıyor.
Bu etkinlik dizisi kapsamında, açık çağrı usulu ile belirlenen sanatçıların katılımıyla online olarak gerçekleşecek atölyede Virginia Woolf, James Joyce ve T. S. Eliot’un yapıtları üzerinden okumalar ve paylaşımlar yapılması, atölye sürecinden alınan esinle sanatçılar tarafından çağdaş sanat alanında üretilecek olan yapıtlar 03.04.-15.04.2023 tarihleri arasında KAIROS’ta Eve Dönüş başlığıyla sergilenerek izleyiciyle buluşuyor!

In welche Räume begeben wir uns und wie beanspruchen wir diese? Wie existieren wir mit, in und durch die Räume um uns herum? Raumkonzepte sind durch Vorstellungen von Zugehörigkeit und Geschlechtlichkeit geprägt. Unser Verständnis von Raum kann vom Begegnungsraum über den Stadtraum bis hin zum Raum als Idee reichen. Vier Künstlerinnen des ATELIERFRANKFURT experimentieren in Malerei, Fotografie und Performance mit den Grenzen von Anonymität und Heimat, An- und Abwesenheit, Beziehungen und deren Wechselwirkung mit unserer Raumwahrnehmung.
