MY EYES, BURNING WITH THE FLAME OF A MEMORY, WILL ALWAYS LOOK AT YOU

This object which was produced as a piece of trousseau 40 years ago and kept within a dowry chest until very recently, is considered as an object that came out of an archeological excavation. At the same time, this artifact is a political object having a socio-cultural value. Photographs that were sent by women as a memory and notes that were written on the back of these photographs were stitched on the pillowcase. Each note and photograph represent the intertwinement of cultural codes. Dealing with memory, it creates a memorial that bridges between past and today and enables the transitions between generations.
